Heat compression molding vs the composite molding

Heat compression molding or composite molding are the same meaning to make the flat material to be custom shaped.

Composite materials are formed by combining two or more materials with different properties, without dissolving or blending them into each other. The most composite material is the carbon fiber or the fiberglass, Kevlar.

heat compression molding products

The heat compression material could be finished in the natural environment, but for the composite material, for example, the carbon fiber, the factory needs a rotary vane pump and oven to extract the air and create a vacuum environment.

So for the heat compression material, the product was shaped by the compression of the machine, and for the composite molding, the product was mainly shaped by the vacuum.

The heat compression molds are mainly two parts; we call it the male mold and the female mold. And there’s only one mold for the composite molding.

It will take more time to prepare the material while doing the composite moulding.
